Hi Mavis

My legs are really itchy rather than burning but my consultant tried me on a course of antibiotics just in case it was cellulitis but there was no change so I am stumped at the mo

It just seems to flare up when I get hot

Hopefully it will just go away 😐

How long did yours last?

I am new to this site and also to the world of MM

What I do know is that my para protein level was 76 in the beginning and my last test showed that it was 2 point 2

I took a list of questions with me when I went to see my consultant the second time as my head was spinning when I had visited him initially and I was sure that I would forget something

People on here have been a great help and I am sure you will receive loads of support

It's so interesting to hear the stories people have to tell on here and although I wouldn't wish this on anyone at least I know that the treatment is worth it in the end!

My consultant has been monitoring my leg situation for the last few weeks and doesn't seem concerned

He did prescribe some antibiotics but there was no change

Hopefully the same will happen with me as happened with Phil and they will just return to normal soon

Thankfully I do have great support at home and I do think that sometimes it's harder for them than it is for me 🙁

Yep the CDT was pretty horrible but I will take the SCT
I was told I was quite young to get MM but looking on here I was very shocked at how many people had it who were much younger than me
It's been very encouraging reading everyones stories
I wish I had logged in sooner!

My consultant hasn't mentioned Lambda Light Chains to me – We mainly talked about my PP level
It's all very daunting but like you I just want to be drug free
63 is still young. I'm 59 so no spring chicken but I figure whatever needs to be done to beat this has to be worth a try eh?!
I hope you are ready for SCT soon too
