    Glad you now active on the web site.When first diagnosed I had a tumor in lower neck/top of back area which was treated with radiotherapy so far successfully. medical team were worried it would cause compression on spinal cord and loose mobility.As i say this has not happened and it has been treated.

    I am on PADS induction which includes Valcade this "mixture" has brought down my PP from 2300 down to 37 after only 3 cycles so it works. (I got the myeloma bounce when I came out of remission i.e it came back during Myeloma 11 trail).So pass onto Pete to stay optimistic.

    I asked my consultant about alcohol and she says 2 small glasses of red wine is allowed on a weekend.(or equivalent)
    Personally i think your body will tell you whats right, and going out every so often is a good thing.

    My consultant told me last week after my PET scan that my left ribs and sternum were were weaker(lesions).My consultant is great and she knows that I ride a mountain bike (when meds allow me!) which inst often enough.She now tells me "stay off the bike till after SCT"

    I had tests for heart,lungs and CT and MRI and only one still to do is a dental check.That should be fine as i go often.

    I am currently on the PADs route and taking Dex.Week 1 of my cycle i take Dex over 4 days,which is 40mg per day.
    I get the hiccups,upper body weight stomach/chest/neck.I also get some hot sweats at night and my pillow can be wet.So dehydration could be an issue but I drink between 2-3 pints of fluids a day.
