    Morning Kerry,
I organised several events last year with the help of friends. so far we have raised over £15000.
Similar to your planned event we ran a ball in March this year. It is featured in the Fundraising success stories on this site on the following link.. http://www.myeloma.org.uk/get-involved/fundraising/fundraising-toolkit/success-stories/delivering-a-fundraising-ball/

It includes some tips and advice.
The event included a band, an entertainer, raffle, games, & auction. We raised just over £8500

I have got lots of templates of letters, prize lists, posters, flyers etc if you want them. Just contact me for details.

    Rachel,
I am absolutely devastated by this terribly sad news. Like Paul I love the outdoors and I was hoping that once we both had recovered from our Stem Cell transplants we would be able to get a walk in on the hills above Tod, or down here in Glossop. I will still do that walk with Paul in my thoughts. Wherever, there is a wild moorland, there will be Paul.
    Take care

    Steve
