    Hi Scott,
So pleased you got through it and now home. It's a slow haul but hey you've got the time to do it now, you've battled through to this stage so take your time and take each day one at a time. Drink plenty of fluid and keep positive x

    Dear all,

I've not been on the forum for a week or two…..doing normal things! That's great. Reading all these posts…..we are in it together.sufferer or supporter. It's a journey, with unknown twists and turns but without each other supporting each other it's too hard to do. I'm the supporter and watching Colin doing his exercises for his back makes me want to cry…..mm fracture but he is still here…..we are here and damn this mm all, it will be beaten :-). It's just working through this windy road with all it's complications.

Heads up all, we can win 🙂

    Helen,

It was great to hear from you. Sorry it's a struggle and you are off work again but hopefully with your results this is a short term blip! Our consultant said it was always good to try and keep working as long as possible to keep that normality. This is true but when is the point when it gets too much, and after that what if you give up and wish you hadn't….it's a conundrum. Still saving save those conundrums for another day. So glad you enjoyed the concert and also what an effort it must've been all day. I'd have been knackered as well 🙂

Keep in going Helen…..are you still knitting?

    Hi Lynn

Welcome to the forum if you can call it that! My partner Colin was diagnosed in October 2011, he also took part in myeloma 11 trial, had an sct in November 2012 and is now on the road to recovery in full remission. Wasn't an easy road but worth the journey. He's left with a collapsed vertebrae which is causing pain but overall the mm is complete remission at the moment.

Ask away and best of luck with your treatment. Know how you felt with shock value…..don't think I've got over that yet!

    Maureen,

What wonderful news for you both and what a hell of an uphill battle it has been for you. I have nothing but admiration for you both :-). Mavis is so right, doing the exercises can only improve your lot so as tough as it is, set a little regime. You won't know yourself with Ian home and no rushing to the hospital, that will be so great for you too 🙂

Best of luck and long may the progress continue x

    Hi there,

Firstly so sorry to hear about your mum, and hoping that she is managing the dialysis. Obviously needing to get those kidneys functioning! It is a hard road but it is doable. This forum is a godsend and there is so much knowledgable support 🙂

    Ask away
