    Hi trish

So hope that Peter is sorted out soon, that must be awful for you both. As Tom says you don't want the extras! There's enough to content with!

    Best of luck

Hey Dai that's great, so glad you are feeling a lot better……

Keep smiling, as you always do. Gosh the helicopter pilot,32. What's happened to this mm condition, thought it was originally for over 70s! Not good for any age but blimey the average age is getting younger and younger. Roll on research and cure 🙂

Glad you had better treatment this time Dai :-), and good old Janet bet she shocked them getting wound up last time 🙂

    Hi all

Wishing you all the best with your travels…..are any of you travelling when not in remission? Colin and I didn't go anywhere other than to a friends in Cornwall for a few days and that was frowned upon by the trial team!!! Now Colin is in remission we are too scared to go anywhere!

    Hi Sarah Jane

6.6 m is brilliant! Well done you. We too were worried about the Hickman line but got use to it after a while. They do dress each week as well so they keep an eye on it. With very best wishes for 1st July….everything crossed for you 🙂

    Hi poise and babs,

Welcome to this site and the roller coaster world of mm. Like most on here we had not heard of mm, until my partner Colin was diagnosed in October 2011, he had been fit and well prior to diagnosis and only started with back pain in August 2011, resulting in a diagnosis soon after.

It has been a real up and down time, but with some reward, and complete remission following sct in November 2012. It can be a hard road, he had lots of infections and a couple of rushes to hospital by blue light but we have got here so far :-).

The sufferers benefit from having the care and support of a loving family, and so do we as a supporter, it's not easy and has been said beforehand your life turns upside down, but lets make the most of it. I am sure they will find a cure soon 🙂

Best of luck with the treatment, by the way all nationalities welcome here 🙂

    Thanks for this Tom,

It sounds very encouraging….:-) also I believe the medical profession see this as a chronic illness, since talking to a doctor yesterday he very kindly said 'yes it used to be a killer' there was no hope!

Still we know better now, and come on that research 🙂

    Hi George

Like you guys my partner Colin was fit and well right up to diagnosis, other than back pain starting about 6 weeks before a diagnosis. He was diagnosed within a month having had full skeletal survey, bone marrow biopsy, blood and 24 hour urine test! It a roller coaster alright! I don't thin now that you are on the radar George, that a few weeks will make a difference either way. They will plan and assess and then find the right treatment for you.

It is doable though, so be strong and hit this mm on the chin :-). We'd never heard of it before, now Colin has had front line treatment and a stem cell transplant!

Good luck with your treatment 🙂
