Good luck Ann, Peter, jean and frank…..fingers crossed for all of you.
Peter has done well to be going back to work but be so so careful,as colinn has overdone it and he is shattered now, having worked 3 days at work and 2 at home each week from 2.5 months. This tiredness seems to be going on and on and like you guys I am very wary and do wonder what is going on.
Frank seems to be doing well jean and good to hear he is having a guiness, good for iron. His appetite will come. You take care of yourself too.
Love to all

That's a nice thought Ali, the present is a gift ! How's your mum doing? Colin is really knackered, he's been to work each week since 2.5 months for three days each week and its now telling….he's been exhausted for 3 days on the trot. I feel very nervy about it as he doesn't look that well either 🙁
Hope your mums doing good, have to be artful with the measles out break though!

Thanks jean,

You take care both x

Hi Dai,
He had his sct 3 rd November, came out 25th November, had a virus at Christmas. He returned to work part time about 22nd February 2013 and has either been working from home some days and going into work others. He has days when he is full of beans and the he goes into one of these dips where he is absolutely washed out. No maintenance treatment 🙂
Hope you are ok Dai….and neutrophils got a wriggle on 🙂

Hi jean
Hope frank is doing ok and maybe eating a little more food…..Colin is struggling with some food but overall doing very well! He is feeling pretty rubbish at the moment,he feels sick and has no energy at all, as I said in another post I always think its myeloma there….still I must try not to panic!
I've been promoted at work and taken on a lot more work and staff…..I need sometime to adjust to that as actually I am still trying to get my own head together after Colin's sct as well as helping Colin too. It's no trouble whatsoever 🙂 but I wish he could string more than 5 days together without getting something or other! My additional worry is the outbreak of measles in Gloucestershire where we live….noones mentioned having child hood vaccines again so I hope he will be ok.
Sorry to ramble, just having a confidence crisis, which is a bit selfish when you and frank have just gone through what you guys have ! 🙂 I will be more cheerful tomorrow 🙂

Hi all,
Yes it's good to feel you can help someone with a bit of morale support, good story or not so good. This is a scary journey and we all need the support from someone, so good health to Keith, Scott's, Dai, and everyone who is going through this journey.
I'm on a negative one as I am worried cos Colin is so so tired, but maybe that's normal? He went to work 3 full days last week, driving an hour each way, we went out to friends for dinner Saturday ( from 2 pm til 9pm) & out Sunday for my dad fun flight in a tiger moth and dinner afterwards, we were only out 4 hours in total then…..is that good going? He's been shattered from Sunday evening and all day today….is that normal as we have nothing to measure it by :-/
Love to all

Hi Andy
Great to hear how you are doing….dex or no dex! Hope that the tinkering with the back will give you some relief!. This pain no gain thing wears a bit thin after a while doesn't it! We hope that you and steph have a great time I. Greece and those pps go in the downward direction after that sunshine 🙂
Like your mantra every day is a gift 🙂
Take care

Hi jean and frank,
Glad to hear frank is out of hospital and things look to be progressing well…:-) patience is the key here and things will get better slowly but surely. Glad to hear you are feeling chipper too jean.
Colin is very very tired at the moment….he seems to do things and then is wiped out with exhaustion for three days, not having anything to measure this by I always worry its the mm coming back and after slims experience of such a short remission that made me worry even more!
Onwards and upwards as Tom would say x

Hi jacqui and jeff
That's great news, 3.2m is great, Colin only got 2.1m so only just over the bar! At least jeff has the cells in the bag! Whilst you are away jeff could always post on the forum to keep his nerves at bay 🙂 we could give that bit of support! You enjoy your holiday jacqui as you'll need all your strength for the rest!
Be strong x

Hey guys
So pleased to hear you got the white white going Peter! That's a result….toms our resident expert on the vodka hey? 🙂
Go for it …..Colin seems to have got his taste back for white, not red and has had 3 glasses tonight…..now dozing off, pretty as a picture 🙂
Keep well all x
Hi there and welcome to this club….but not really wanting to be a member!
My partner Colin was diagnosed in October 2011, resulting in an sct in November 2012. Prior to the sct he was on induction treatment of revlimid, cyclophosmahide and dexamthazone. He had 7 cycles of that and then a couple of availed stem cell harvests, the getting just about enough on the third go 🙂
We hope you sail through with little trouble…..you sound a tower of strength going through great cancer as well (what choice did you have hey :-). Very best of luck and if we can answer any of your questions please ask 🙂
