Hi! My husband has recently finished 3 cycles of DT PACE in preparation for a donor transplant! ( this will be his 3rd as he’s previously had 2 stem cell transplants ). He tolerated the treatment quite well really! The first cycle he stayed in for 2 weeks and the further two about 10 days each! He needed a few blood transfusions and platelets during this time to help his bloods recover but all went well and he’s due to go in for transplant next week! As for side effects they are the usual nausea but this was well managed with anti_sickness and he eat well throughout!He had a flare-up of gout but has suffered with this throughout all his treatment! Do’nt get me wrong any chemo’s tough but it’s doable and you are very closely monitored throughout! Good luck with your treatment and hope all goes well! Take care gill x
