Hi David

When I was on my CTD treatment I noticed a sudden swollen calf muscle. I had a hospital appt the next day and was sent for a scan. This showed a lower leg deep vein thrombosis which was treated with Warfarin for 6 months.
Obviously yours may be a different problem and I hope you can get a definite explanation soon.

Best wished Ann

Hello Mandy
I have just asked my daughter who has had 30 years of swallowing capsules
for epilepsy. She suggested emptying the capsule onto a teaspoonful of honey and swallowing that.
I do think you should seek professional advice to check of this is OK with Thalidomide, perhaps Ellen on the Myeloma Infoline could advise you.
Kind regards Ann

Hi Sean
It is a good idea to gather as much information so you are prepared if you become unwell in the future. The http://www.directgov.co.uk website has a lot of information on disability including benefits and there is a Benefit Enquiry Line
0800 882200 which may be helpful.
