    Hi Pat
I think you just have to do what is easiest and best for you, like Eve says ' no one ever regrets leaving work' I'm still plugging away at it but I'm very lucky, though not sure for how much longer. After I start the velcade I will see how I feel and maybe make the decision.
I hired a window cleaner today, and am seeing a cleaning lady…[Read more]

  • Gordon Bennett !! Wendy, you must have been really up and down, what a horrible few days for you. I'm glad you have plateaued again. Stay there for as long as possible please. • Hi Dai

Well I must have read it wrong as well,Revidimide and Velcade had to be used before eligibility for Muks 5 .Which if only patients who were on CDR then Velcade then relapsing would be eligible,I would think they will be hard pushed to find patients!!!!

I would seriously question eligibility !!! Good luck Dai. Love Eve

    Hi Pat

Yes there is,I stand in amazement at people who do not get help in the house ,but if cleaning floats your husbands boat????,it's ok. I intend to spend as much time with Slim, not cleaning, less cooking and more going out.

As for depression it must come with the territory ,its the ability to recognise it,do something about it,and not…[Read more]

  • Hi Helen

Like you, our one son started uni 4 weeks after my SCT and the other a year later. We hardly see them now they are living away from home, until they return for holiday periods or phone us for money, help with accommodation problems or lifts back home.

You are right, you never seem to stop worrying about them. You try to offer…[Read more]

  • Hi Sandie

I think your mom at aged 87 is coping really well with taking her drugs and still managing to look after herself with your help. I know I would have struggled without my husband's help, especially dealing with the side effects of fatigue and bone pain. My husband had to take over all of the cooking, cleaning, washing, etc because I…[Read more]

  • Dear San, Pat and Elaine

    Hello Liz
Well done you, like Etta I drank lots, walked round the plane every hour I was awake, watched all those films I never got round to and slept as I could. I didn't eat much. I took a course of antibiotics and a thermometer and took my temp every day just to be sure. My consultant also gave me a course of acyclovir as he thought shingles…[Read more]

  • Hi Sandiex

Your mum should only get zometa side effects for a short while and it does work wonders with bones for a short period. Why Warfarin and not Claxane you could do them for mum they will do the same job but cost more, I would consider Claxane to be very important as chemo side effects are blood clots!!!,

    Sandiex Osteo Cronosis of…[Read more]
