So nice you could spend a day with all of your family and it didn't rain. A lot of mouths to feed.

Hope you haven't got too much of a hangover.

My husband was on CTD and he didn't have 7 days off. It is a continual cycles until you are in remission.

    Hi Eve

I have just emailed Sara and said I would take part in the myeloma diagnosis programme.

In reply to my complaint, the gp's wrote that after Ian saw the specialist, Dr Watson should have put a care plan in action and not waited on specialists results. He deeply regrets this and it has been a learning curb for all gp's.

The reply from specialist was that as blood tests were normal, there was nothing to suggest it was anything other than mechanic as Ian had a desk juob. I sent out a leaflet to all of them on how to diagnose myeloma. Hope she can sleep at night.

    Hi Peter

I would advise you to get a thermometer and if your temperature goes to 38 and above, go to hospital.

My husband was diagnosed with myeloma (light chains) in October 2012 and we were in shock for ages as he also had spinal compression and lost the power of his legs. We are now coping as Ian is progressing well and hope to have him home from hospital early September. He is not having a SCT and after 3.50 cycles of CDT the light chains are stable but he gets bloods checked every month.

    Take care

    Hi Eve

Sorry you are going through a tough time at the moment. Ian is getting stronger and hopefully will be out of hospital soon. I tend to forget about the myeloma and focus on Ian getting better and walking again. I am an optomist and hope we have many more years together.

I find the site very helpfull as I knew nothing about myeloma and now have a little medical knowledge of what to ask consultants etc.

You will both be in my prayers.

    Hi Jean

Frank could be retaining fluid or urine. Ian had swollen tummy and has to self catheterise at night to empty his bladder.

Ian is a Dunfermline fan and watns me to take him to football when he gets out of hospital which shouldn't be long now.

    Hi Rebecca

I haven't attended a support group but I will try and go to the meeting in Perth, Scotland on 14 August. My husband has MM but is still in hospital, now 10 months with spinal compression.
