    Hi Mavis

My birthday was 23 June and it went very well. Meal was lovely and Ian was glad to get out of hospital for a few hours.

My daughter's ceremony was in London on Saturday. She was stunning and I shed a few tears both for her and Ian. Champagne went to my head and was up dancing until the wee small hours. I was glad to have a break from the hospital.

Ian should be coming home in 4-6 weeks and I will have to give up work and get everything in place. I'll keep you informed.

    Hi Jean

Get an mri scan for Mike's back. My husband had spinal compression which wasn't picked up until he had an mri scan and because of the delay is partially paralysed.

Glad you are feeling better and velcade is working for you.

We visit FVH hospital once a month as Ian has his monthly infusion of zometa and we get the results of his bloods. This usually takes 3 hours at which time I leave to have lunch and Ian get picked up by ambulance to take him back to Falkirk rehab. He waited 2 hours on the ambulance!

It is exceptionally hot for Scotland and I wish I was sitting at a swimming pool with a nice strawberry daiquiri.

    Hope you ae keeping well.

This was a very sad day for Dunblane. Did you write this poem?

    Hi Eve

I will give up work when Ian comes home. We will have 2 carers come in 4 times a day. I do not know if Ian will be ale to transfer to our car so that's a question I have to ask. He is also incontinent although he is beginning to get feelings back again, another question.

I haven't done anything to the house yet as I was advised to wait for social services. Physio's are going to chase them up.

I will have more time as at the moment I am working and travelling back and forward to hospital. I can't do it twice a day all the time as I am totally exhausted.

Hope things look up for Slim.

Ian had 4 cycles of CDT and had to come off it to heal his bed sore but his light chains are now stable at 210.

It doesn't happen overnight, be patient.

    Hi Jo

Ian was at hospital yesterday and his light chains have remained at 210 so no more chemo for the moment. His consultant also said his good anitboides were growing so good news.

I didn't see the tennis as I was travelling home from London by train after my daughter's civil partnership. I did record it but have only watched the first set so far but it was a wonderful result.

    Hope you are keeping well.

Good to hear you are feeling a lot better and I hope the velcade will kill off the MM. Ian has an infection in his bedsore and being treated with antibiotics. Seeing consultant on Monday, hope light chians haven't risen.

    Hi Jo

Ian had light chains down to 52 and he didn't complete the full cycle of CDT as they stopped it to let his bed sore heal. See consultant on Monday to see if light chains have risen again. How many cycles of CDT did you have?

Hope Andy Murray wins this year. I'm a big fan.
