Bill was diagnosed with Myeloma on 5th August. He is 41 an also on the Myeloma XI trial. He is on the RCD arm of the treatment and will finish his first cycle on 5th September.
The only side effects he has experienced are leg pains, tiredness and a temperature without an infection (which goes away with the use of a fan!!).

What are people's experiences on revlamid? I'd taken it for 6 days and then picked up my first infection, spending a week in hospital on IV drip. Came in via A&E and waited 9 hours for a bed. Any tips to avoid infection? I have a young family and want to avoid long hospital stays. All tips and suggestions welcome.

Just to add my thoughts. My mum was diagnosed 4 years ago and has had thalidomide and velcade. Having seen what she went through I knew all of the symptoms. Two months ago I felt a popping in my chest (still convinced this is sternum related) and got rushed into A&E with a chest infection. Discharged after a week but still not right.

Hi Charlie

I'm on RCD on Myeloma 11. Thought I'd go for the best option as I'm only 41 and got two kids. It is confusing but I found the best way is to discuss it with your partner. I found out on the 5th so it is still a bit new.

Good Luck
Bill
