I was diagnosed with smouldering myeloma in September 2014. I am 58. I am still in shock and trying to engage with this disease. I have the bone marrow biopsy, the skeletal extra, several blood tests and CT scan today. I could not have an MRI because of previous brain surgery leaving clips in the skull. It is all double Dutch to me. What does IgG kappa paraprotein 24 g/L means? Kappa light chain 26.3 mg/L?? Does it really matter it is cancer? HELP!!

Hello could anyone give me some advice about IgG kappa paraprotein 24 g/L mean? Kappa light chain 26.3 mg/L. I am struggling with all this and not understanding what it means.
