As I have been well for 5 years following a SCT this is now new to me and I am really going to do what the specialist tells me. It is only now that I have been reading fellow sufferers logs and finding out what they have done and how they have coped. A lot of these have been very helpful and are helping me deal with…[Read more]

Hope you do not mind me emailing you but I saw that your husband had 2 SCT's. I had one 5 years ago and I have now been told my pp level has come back (6) and wondered if I could have another one. I was in hospital for 3 weeks and it was about 3-4 months before I was back riding my bike and golfing.
How did your husband cope and how old…[Read more]

Hi everybody.
My name is Dave I am 65 and I have had Myeloma for 5 years. Back in Sept 2006 I was diagnosed after having MGUS for 12 years. I was treated with VAD and had a STC on April 19th 2007. This went well and I was out of hospital in 3 weeks. By July (my youngest sons Wedding) I was quite fit (without hair) and started to ride a bike to…[Read more]

On my last visit to the specialist I was told that my paraprotien level had re-appeared and was at 6. This was a big shock and I am now wondering what will happen next.
I was told that I would have follow up…[Read more]
