This is an issue we have pondered here on several occasions. We do block access to user profiles for non-registered users but we’ve always left the forum fairly open. Part of the reason is that anyone can register so there’s really no barrier to who can read the forum anyway.

I had some good feedback regarding the forum and a few obvious omissions. I’ve added the forum title and post title and removed the bar which said who last updated the forum. It seemed a bit pointless when the topic with the latest reply appear at the top of the forum.

We don’t have any plans to support tapatalk at the moment. Our web team is very small and I’m afraid we don’t have the resources to support lots of different methods of accessing the forum at the moment. I’ll add it to the list of possible future enhancements though.

I’ve looked into the issue with people being signed out after a short amount of time. I’ve changed the settings so you should now be kept signed in for 6 months rather than 2 weeks. I’ve just tried to sent a test message to myself without a subject and it gave me the same error. It looks like you need to put something in the subject line.

I’ve had a look into this and I think it’s being caused by the website using cookies to keep you signed in. These cookies are set by default to expire after two weeks so sometimes you get signed out. I noticed you had a problem uploading a photo. I’ve increased the maximum size allowed for posting images. If you want to try again it should work now. When you hit the Submit button please be patient as the file will take a short while to transfer, sometimes up to a minute depending on your internet connection speed.

I think we have fixed the edit box problem. You may need to refresh the website again to get this working correctly (CTRL + F5).
