    Hi Ali,

Hope you had a great birthday. Wondered how your mum was doing? Colin has had a rough day following his cyclo priming, but is eating quite well so I'm happy 🙂

    Hi Scott

I really hope this drug works for you. Like you say this condition is a real roller coaster. I am pleased to hear you can still play golf. Colin used to play and awful lot of gold so this will give him some heart that it's still possible to play golf with mm!

    Good luck to you

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for the support, will pass on your best to Colin. Well he's home, said he felt washed out and a bit swim my and like he wasn't here if that makes sense. Just packed him off to bed with sickness tablet and some other ones to do with the bladder. Then I can wake him up with another sicky type table at 9pm and another one we are…[Read more]

Well what a blinking day so far!

Went to hospital 0930am today. Appointment 10am. Colin went in at 1115, and they did obs(I assume blood test stuff!). We then found out that his neutrophil count at the hospital last Monday had been 0.6, so there a possibility no chemo today. That's the first up and down of the roller coaster. THEN, neutrophils…[Read more]

    Hi Tina,

Hope you enjoy your break. Colin had his Hickman line fitted recently and he has got on ok with it. We had a bit of a false start with the stem cell harvest, first one failed, but apparently very common that happens. He is having cyclphosmhide cycle priming today and ready for gcsf injections next week. Then harvest again 3/4…[Read more]

    Ali

Thanks so much. No he is just in for the day we are told. Fingers crossed, and thanks for thinking of us. Not sure what he is dreading most….the chemo or me doing some DIY painting the porch (not my strongest skill, wanting it all done yesterday is my problem!).

Hope you have a great day and your mums doing well, will keep you…[Read more]

    Hi Pete and ann,

Glad the appointment went well and the blood counts playing ball. Like you say if they don't seem too worried about the swelling then I'd try to reassure yourself that it's ok. I hope they can do something for Peres back pain. Colin does get it occasionally, even with the painkillers. Colin was a bit fed up as when they measured…[Read more]
