    Hi Mary

Frank was also put on Clexame. They put him on it automatically. He has no history of DVT. Think it depends on your hospital. Hope thing go we'll

    Hi Tony

We have something similar at Belfast city Hospital. They are available 24 hours. If Frank is feeling unwell he calls them, tells his symptoms and they speak to a doctor and are back to him within 10 minutes. If he has to go up there is no waiting he goes through to the Unit and tests and examination are carried out. I can't speak highly enough if the team there. They are excellent

Tony have a great time in Majorca – it is one of my favourite places.

Andy enjoy Greece. We are booked for a cruise 13 Sept

I echo Tony – great bunch on here 😀

    Take care

Hi Lynne and welcome to the forum. As Tony says you are so young to get this bl**dy disease but you will get lots of support here and it's a great place to rant if you feel like it

My husband Frank was diagnosed in September 2006 and had SCT in March this year. It was no walk on the park but he got through it and no PP's detectable in blood and PET scan showed no cancer. So although each journey is different its doable and Frank is a LOT older than you. You have youth on your side

Good luck with your treatment and don't forget we are all here to help,if we can

Maureen So glad to hear that Ian is coming home and you retiring 🙂 After a while you will wonder how on earth you managed to combine working with house keeping for all that time

    My very best to Ian

Tom that's great. Frank has tried walking but can't go very far as he has terrible back pain – apparently nothing to do with MM but an old injury he got playing rugby.

Every day it gets a little better. Take care

    Hi Mary

Glad to hear Charlie is back safe and sound 🙂 19 days that is good going I think that was the record in BCH. Frank was in for over 4 weeks and besides the "power failures" he's doing good. Going on a cruise on 13 Sept. firs holiday in over 2 years.

Charlie hope you go from strength to strength and get on with with you're and Mary's lives. My very best wishes to you both

    Well done

    Dear Mari

I'm so sorry to hear of the death of your beloved Stephen. My thoughts are with you and your family at this awful time. I'm glad that his passing was peaceful.

    Hi San

Great to hear you news – well done your mum 🙂 when we were told frank was in remission – it took some time to take it in. Frank needed treatment on his teeth and although he was off Zometa for about 3 months the consultant said dentist was not to do the work and she sent him to the School of Dentistry.

Please give your mum my best wishes and to keep it up 😀

    Hi Mary

I did the same as Megan when Frank came home. I stripped our bed and disinfectened (???) it from top to bottom. I had wipes and dettol sprays strategically placed. I only allowed our four sons and their families to visit. I kept the young grandchildren away from him for a couple of weeks. I left hand sanitiser in the hall and Anyone who came knew their hands had to be done. They also knew to keep away if they had as much as a sniffle. Frank was a little paranoid about the dog, he casts a lot so he was not allowed into any room that Frank would be in – fortunately he loved the garden 🙂 to be honest I think I went a little over board I was paranoid but thank God he's been infection free.

Take care and enjoyCharlie being home 🙂

    Hi Sue

You have come to the right place for help, support and friendship. I'm Jean and my husband has MM. You have really been dealt a double blow. I'm sorry that I can't help with any of the financial questions that you need answered or advice on supporting your children as our boys are all adults. I just wanted to welcome you to our club. They are a very knowledgeable lot on here and someone will come along soon that will be able to help you

My husband was diagnosed in 2006 and had no treatment until June last year. He started CTD and then in March he had STC and am pleased to say he is In remission. Don't apologise for waffleing this is the place to do it and rant if you need to.

My best wishes to you and as I say someone will be along soon to help

    Take care
    Love Jean x
