    Hi Joe

It's very good of you to come on and let us know what you are doing. I remember you dads journey and its hard to believe that nearly a year has gone by.

From me thank you so much for what you are doing. Myeloma has to be put on the map and what you are doing will contribute greatly to that. I'm sure your dad will be with you all of the way.

Don't forget to post your just giving page (if you have one) and my very best wishes for your terrific endeavours and also for the rest of your degree

    Take care

    Hi John

My hubby had Zometa for 2 years back in 2006. He then started it again in June and on both occasions he has had no side effects at all. Hope all goes well for your wife

    Hi Pat and Tom

Thanks for your good wishes. Just back from hospital and they had to prise him out of my arms. They have called him Benjamin Francis (Francis after Frank). Too adorable

Pat Beatrix is a wee poppet – she is so tiny, dear love her. I'm sure you can't wait to meet her. This 'face time' is brilliant. I use it all the time to see and talk to grand daughters in Kent. Hope treatment goes well Pat and it won't be long till you meet her.

    Take care Tom and Pat

    Dear Sal

So sorry that your dad has lost his battle with this horrible illness. I know it's difficult and maybe hard to hear but it is a blessing that as you say it was "short and sweet". To know that your dear dad is not suffering must be of some comfort to you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family

    Hello Maureen

I am so glad to read that Ian is progressing and glad that he may walk again. Everything crossed for him. When Frank was on CTD they had to reduce the Dex as he had bad side effects. Great to hear that Ian is handling it well. My very best wishes to you both

    Hi Grayham

Welcome from me to. You will get great support here. My husband was diagnosed with smouldering myeloma in 2006 and only started treatment in June. Hew was on 6 months of CDT. They had to reduce the Dex as he didn't tolerate it very well. He had stem cell harvest in beginning December and they got 7 .6 million first time. He is waiting for a bed but at moment has a terrible cole so they wouldn't do it anyway. He is having second thoughts about so I will Have to wait and see

    Good luck with your journey

    Hi Vikki and Colin
    A
Thank you for your thoughts for us. We saw registrar yesterday (we both think consultant is avoiding us). Bloods were ok PPs still at 2 but still no bed. Wouldn't have been able to admit him any way as he has a terrible cold. He keeps saying "IF I have SCT". As I said to John he has had too much time to think about it. I have tried to get him to talk about how he feels about it but just tells me that he will wait and see ????

Colin hope you are feeling good

    Best wishes to you both
    Love Jean x
