Welcome to the site. This is the place to rant, ask advice or just to talk. I know what you mean about hubby not going on site. My husband Frank was diagnosed in 2006 – not on treatment yet, but going for CAT scan and retake of bloods tomorrow. I cannot get him to go on forum. I give him info that I have gotten from friends on here but after 6 years he still has his head buried in the sand.

My husband (also SMM) went for a session of physiotherapy at Belfast city Hospital (recommended by consultant). He was in agony – he said that he felt that he had been electrocuted. The only relief that he got was with a Chinese doctor who researched Myeloma and then carried out treatment which included accupuncture. He swore by it. Unfortunately the doctor went back to China and he is still looking for someone to replace her.

Get first defence from chemist. We use it at the first sign of cold, sore throat – really anything. also use it when we are flying. I asked our doctor about it and he said it was good to use it. We ding it good.

I use Face book. Have to be honest, I set it up so I could see what my grand daughter was up to!!! She is not a street wise child and at one time she told everyone where she was, that she was lonely and gave out her mobile!!!

I can understand how you are feeling. Frank has not starte d treatment yet. His bloods on Thursday were not too good and he has to go back on Wednesday for more. Eve is a carer (hate that word) for her hubby Slim and she is a mind of information. She has clarified many things for me. Look out for her posts. I hope your partner is soon home with you and starting to feel better

Please please don't feel like that. They are a great bunch here. I was going shopping and just popped in and when I came back you were gone!! Please post again with any worries or you need to ask anything. My hubby has smouldering myeloma and I have been a member of the new site and the old one for about – I think 3 years and have tremendous advice, support and friendship. So please put your post up again. What ever your worries are there will be someone to answer. It may take a couple of days as people pop in and out. You will get support.

Thanks Dai for your reassurance. They told Frank that if he got an infection he was to go to hospital straight away. I feel sorry for the poor man as I am watching him like a hawk. I'm waiting for him to tell me where to go!!!;-)
