Just received more info. His current paraprotein level is 3/4. His lambda light chains were at 10, 90 days post SCT. 3 weeks ago they rose to 64, they are now at 690. The specialist thinks that his recent pneumonia may have triggered the relapse.

He is starting CHOP treatment tomorrow? And then lomanthomide next week.

Thanks so much for your quick response Dawn. My father in law is 66. I’m not sure what his paraprotein level was as I get filtered info. I know they were really happy at his 90 day check. My mother in law said his bloods got to 10, but then 3 weeks ago they rose to 65 and are now at 650 but I’m not sure what these values are referencing.

As I said the info I have is vague. I know he was on steroid, thalidomide and possibly methotrexate prior to the SCT. My mother in law did say they tried Velcade but he didn’t respond. They are going to try <span style=”color: #272727; font-family: Arial; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;”>lenalidomide ASAP. I’ve just heard they i.e. Specialist think the pneumonia may have triggered the relapse. </span>

Its very sad as he seemed to be doing so well. Hardly any side effects from the SCT. He is a lovely man
