									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hi all-american well after being so positive and saying dad was doing well, he has woken up with swollen tingly fingers (I shouldn&#039;t have tempted fate 🙁 ) mum called ward and they said that as tomorrow is chemo day anyway they would check him out then. </p>
<p>Can he still continue with chemo? Big hugs jen x</p>

Well my lovely pa started cycle 2 last week, he is on the VCD chemo, so farthe only real side effect is fatigue, although dad says his back aches, spoke to nurse and she wasn&#039;t overly concerned. On the real plus side dad&#039;s kidneys have improved  alot, so they have increased chemo, does it get increased anyway? His full scan didn&#039;t show anything more than thinning around the thoracic region. Not sure how quickly things change? Second cycle is next week 🙁 Dai what is Zometa? jen x</p>

Thank you all so much for your lovely supportive replies. Dad is now home from hospital and is on day 9 of his first cycle of chemo. He is on the VCD chemo. It was discovered due to kidney disfunction and other symptoms such as shortness of breath and painful legs and weightloss.
