    Hello
I was diagnosed when I was 48 (now 63 – but still 25 in my head). Sorry I don’t think there is anything I have done that I know was definitely medically positive. On a personal level I am very positive about the future regarding me personally and new and future treatments. Before diagnosis I had never heard of myeloma and now only know about its ‘generalities’. The only thing I know the numbers of are the paraproteins. After my 3 monthly blood tests these are the only number I know about and when I am told they are undetectable that’s all I need to hear. I have complete faith in my consultant and leave him to digest all the other ‘numbers’. It did initially damage my spine which does cause me some pain at times but still try and do what I want to do. My view is that myeloma is a chronic but treatable disease and think positivity can be the key.
If there is anything else you would like to ask at anytime and I can help with please do ask.
    Best wishes
    Kevin
