    Hi Bridget
What surprises me Bridget is the turn round of what we were told when we saw consultant,I checked about bone marrow every cycle twice, then yesterday same nurse, said in a few months, that,s why i want it checked out.8cycles,3weeks cycle equals 6 months of treatment,Slims just done 6 months on CDT.
I need to know is this the same for…[Read more]

Hi Eve regarding the results following treatment as in Slims case and doctors wanting to wait until the end before doing bone marrow or is it a scan they are going to do? Often the results from these drugs take time to settle so rather than testing several times they prefer to give it time to level out As it is only a few weeks its unlikely to do…[Read more]

    Hi Sharon

    Sarah

I am so sorry that you have this extra burden on top of loosing your lovely Gordon. People as you know grieve in many ways. When my mum died I was so angry at everyone and every thing. I could not understand why these people were walking around and my mum wasn't. I am not making excuses for your MIL but maybe she is shouting for help as…[Read more]

Welcome to the site from me too, but sorry you have to join this elite club!! Good to hear that the dialysis and drugs have worked to get you to a plateau. I wouldn't worry too much about not being advised to have a SCT at the present time. There are in fact Trials going on in America at the moment to compare SCT against other…[Read more]

  • Dear Bridget

I do hope they arrnge the RT for very soon and that it really does the trick. I am glad you are so positive about it. I just feel so cross you are in so much pain – it seems indecent in 2011 that we can't get on top of it.

You are one special lady! Hold in there and look forward to the dancing!!

    Much love.
