Hi Eve
I am so glad to hear that things for Slim are looking up as I know he has had a rough time. Eve there must be something in the air!!! I came on to post something similar. We have just come back from a cruise with 10 family members. We had a fantastic time. On previous holidays, Frank slept a lot and was not really interested in…[Read more]

Hi Everybody

Slim see,s the consultant on Friday,he just coming to the end of his 6 cycle on CTD trials. I know every thing is going in the right direction,as I make sure I collect all paper work concerning results, the only one I do not know about is latest bone marrow results.:-)

I love the fake badge idea – might copy that myself. I don't have a blue badge as I don't need one yet but I do so hate people taking up disabled spaces or the toddler spaces. My favourites are the idiots that park in those spaces cause they only have a small shop to do… ARGH! Maybe I should make a "you forgot your kids" sign and stick on their…[Read more]

Hi Martin
Know one can answer your question,!!! it would not matter if your dad was young or old,the fact is how much fight has he in him,I would agree with Min,we do not give enough credit to older people.Do not write them off!!!!
Jo is a fine example of having Myeloma, with kidney damage, and she seems to have a good quality of life.

Hi guys,
I really wanted to watch this, but couldn't bring myself to as programmes like that upset me much more since Sam's diagnosis, he sounds like an inspirational young man though.

Hi Gill I couldnt agree more , on bad days it makes the world of difference to be able to park that little bit closer Whilst I understand how people get upset at misuseof blue badges I do get annoyed when they make judgements on how you lookSometimes I feel like brandishing an x-ray of my bones at them !! Blue Badgers ROCK!!!!

Hi Jet
I wish you all the luck in the world,it is good to see someone doing so well,
as you know from post some people struggle, when you are in this position it is not very nice!!!!!.
There is an old saying (who wants to live till there 90,the person who is 89) so I do not think it is different what ever your age,I think you are very lucky!!!

Hi all of your wonderful Carers!
Just wanted you to know what a marvellous job you are all doing. I have always thought it must be worse being the one watching on.
Makes me appreciate my own hubby even if we all like to moan from time to time!
Love

Hi Pam
It must be good news that the MM isn't in your Dad's bones as this is what causes everyon with it so much pain, and because of your Dad's other difficulties would be very difficult to get under control.
I do hope that when the Haematologist looks at his other results they can find some treatment for any symptons without going down the…[Read more]
