    [b][/b]Bridget was a lovely lady who helped everyone on this site she helped me and my sister when we lost our lovely mum last year I am thinking of her family now Bridget will be at peace and free from pain xxxxxxx

    Dear Nicola i am really sorry about your dad its a dreadful thing to go through we lost our lovely mum on the 30th november 2011 we got her home for 3 weeks before she passed away peacefuly it was so hard to watch the one you love go through this we know now we would rather mum not be in any pain than go through it all again i am thinking of you and your family at this sad time love to you all Linda x

    We are really heartbroken Mum was strong thoughout her treatment, and never gave in, we have a very strong family. Mum made us that way we will miss her very very much thank you to you all who have kept us going on this site it helps everyone who is going through the same thing there are a lot of success stories on here, we have to keep going and one day they will find a cure. I am carrying on with my fundraising for Myeloma mum would have wanted that thank you everyone again. Linda ginas sister x

    😀 Hello again everyone thank you for all your replies. This site is brilliant, it helps people to chat and discuss what they are going through because everyone is going through the same thing caring for someone with Myeloma or some who has Myeloma and yes my mum has got some very Supportive children, but mum has done a lot for her children has shes always worked hard and brought 6 children up and retired at 65 but when diagnosed with Myeloma she has never said she would give up shes a fighter and we will support her every step of the way. we also work and do have fun things. I love doing fundraising as well it makes me feel like i am helping we have done all kinds of fundraising we did a midnight wander and raised funds for a local hospice in june this year.

    [b][/b]Hi My mum was diagnosed with Myeloma in June 2009 she was 69 she has had the first cycles of treatment chemotheropy thalidomide tablets they only gave half the dosage because it made her so ill so instead of 6 treatments she had 8 then they stopped the treatment she was left for a while the pharaprotiens came down from 33 to 19 but now they are back up so she is waiting to go back to the hospital on the 3rd of feb so they can see if they are going to do the next course of treatment depending on the other test if they are ok kidney and liver funtions ect it has been a shock to our system we had never heard of myeloma before it is like being on a rollercoaster its every 8 weeks to the hospital keeping everything crossed all the time hoping everything is ok but my mum is an insperation to us all she has carried on she said whats the point of sitting at home feeling sorry for yourself there is other people out there worse off the macmillan nurses phoned her the other week asking if she needed any help she said give it to someone else at the moment has im ok for now i can manage thats how we carry on my dad died 21 years ago of cancer my mum has brought 6 children up always worked and adoppted my nephew who has learning difficulties when he was 1 he is now 24 we just hope they can find some more treatment we take every day has it comes.i have done 2 coffee mornings i raised £150 for the first one and the second one i have just sent a cheque off for £160 we hope we can do other fundraising in the future.:-)
