    Thank you he seems to be responding very well. First urine infection he has had.

    Thanks Tom yes he has been taking more fluids since being disgnosed, been in hospital more than being at home lately lol

    It makes it easier to speak to people and read this on here from other people experiences.

  • Thank you for all the information. Mick had his infusion of immuniglobins and zometa and the next day had a temp of 39.2 and call the hospital ended up at A and E again.

    He now has a urine infection and has to have a 5 day cause of iv antibiotics. Can't wait for him to come out hopefully Tuesday.

    Quite alot to get your head round, We are ok about not having the SCT cos it isn't right for him, It is a litlle wierd cos they found the protien in blood and urine in July was diagnosed and on chemo by being of August a hospital stay as protien cause problem with his kidneys so all happened so fast and just…[Read more]

    I was wondering if any one could answer a question for me my husband finished his last cycle CTD on the 5th of Jan and had a chest infection that has been smouldering but kept at bay for the mo with antibotics.

    Thank you Jox, It really helps to know it's normal and even though his is not having SCT doesn't mean you have to give up. I am showing him the posts and think they are helping.

    Thank you Tom My Husbands name is Mick should have mentioned it before.

    He is being treated at Southend University Hospital, it has all been a bit of a roller coaster it was only found by a routine blood test in July and was in Hospital beginning of August with high protien levels and was damaging his kidneys he had treatment started the chemo…[Read more]

    Thank you for your reply had pneumomia 3 times which meant stays in hospital and chest infections been on antibiotics most of the time to be honest never used a themometer so much lol.

    My husband was dianosed in August and just finished his 6 cycles of CDT. He has nothing but infections since starting CDT so SCT isn't advised.
