<p>I havn&#8217;t been on here for a while.  Three years ago I was diagnosed with SMM and kept fairly well.</p>
<p>I am now more tired and am now struggling to understand my blood results. Paraproteins 48,g/l.    Hb 10.8 ? <p>Thank you for your reply.  It was very useful.  I don&#8217;t have severe back pain like you but enough that I&#8217;m waiting for an MRI scan and an Osteoporosis test.</p>
<p>I have heard there are some centres that give treatment earlier rather than later, have you or anyone else heard of that?</p>

<p>I was on here a year ago.  Usually very cheerful but nowf feeling a bit down.  Two years ago my paraproteinss were 25, last year 33 and this year 43.  What I have is Asymptomatiic Myloma, asymptomatic because my other blood results are OK.  HB 117 but not falling.</p>

<p>I have just joined this forum.  I was diagnosed last year with Smouldering Myeloma.  Like you I was told no treatment until Myeloma proper developed.  I found all the terms re lab tests confusing, but I got a book from the library 100 questions and Answers about Myeloma and it made things much clearer. <p>Thankyou for your explanation.  It was all very clear.  I got a bit lost however with the bit  about the ratio.   I havn&#8217;t been given any light chain readings readings, so still not sure how that relates to my Paraprotein reading of 26.4 and total IgG 35.5.</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve just joined and am inspired by your entries.  I&#8217;m hoping someone can help me.</p>
<p>I had Smouldering Myeloma diagnosed last year.  Biopsy showed plasma cells 16%.  Immunoglobins 35.5 and paraproteins 26.4%.   My recnt readings are similar.   Some of you mention light chains.  I don&#8217;t know what that means?</p>
