<p>I have asked previously about a hereditary link,and the answer has always been no, however, recently I had some blood tests done and had raised ESR &#8230;&#8230;. this then led to me having to be tested for Myeloma!! the doc said best to rule it out with my Mum having it!?!<br />

<p>as you know mum has tried numerous painkillers, she is quite settled on methadone and oxynorm, good luck and hope you get the pain sorted quickly.<br />
Are you on anything like gabapentin or pregablin? they are for bone pain.<br />

<p>I think it is a fantastic idea, my mums specialist nurse suggested that to me when my mum was first diagnosed, to keep for my children, as they are very close to their Nan. I dont think anyone would be upset by this, as you are doing it for your children. good luck.<br />

She is responding very well to Revlimid and her proteins are down to 2 that is the lowest it has ever been. <p>Mum didnt seem to have any side effects at all, she is still much the same, the tiredness seems to be getting worse not better tho!!</p>
<p>No point in telling Mum about the toothpaste she only has 3 of her own teeth and the rest are falsies lol, but she would much prefer it if the last 3 just fell out.</p>

<p>I think i agree that is defo a scam mail, be careful!! I would ring Myeloma UK I think and ask them? Please don&#039;t answer that email, sounds very dodgy to me, as far as I am aware no one in myeloma uses hotmail, they all have their own email thro myelomauk.</p>

<p>I can now confirm that the infusion Mum had was Zometa, I am sure thats not what the specialist nurse said, but hey ho I was definately in a non listening mode yday!! <p>Mum had her check on Wednesday at clinic, and was phoned by the hospital yday to go in today for an infusion, this is for bone strengthening and should help with the pain.
