just to update on my recent 3 monthly blood test 7.5 months post transplant
my light chains were within normal range and the ratio between them the lowest its ever been. Yippee!! Can breathe a big sigh of relief and relax for another 3 months.

Zometa can cause kidney problems but so too does myeloma. The regular blood tests we have are to make sure that our biochemical and general health stays good and we have early warning of any toxic side effects. I am covered for myeloma, but we are all different, age and other conditions apply. It was not too expensive about £160 but it is only single trip insurance and I waited until I was 6 months post transplant before I booked it. Does this help?

An update.
New hair, finally.
A style, at last! though it only took him 3 minutes and only the back and sides trimmed by half an incch but i feel more like me again.
No colour, skin still dry and itchybut those hard lumps are now beginning to subside
