Hi guys sorry for delay in replys hope I find you all well I'm just starting my dex comedown yippee lol thanks for your input seems to be a mixed bag of opinions ill have to stick with I hate it but I gotta take it is the new motto, I've been busy trying to find out the criteria for sct as my kidney function is not great and oncologist says no until they improve, but I've noticed a couple of people on here have been offered sct even though they have the same prob as me,seeing as there is no compare the sct.com I thought I'd ask here any ideas? Love and health to all

Hi eve how are you? I've been taking dex for seven months and had enough of it my first ever dose was 80 Mgs for two days in a row,I was very off my head lol , but the other hidden baddie they don't tell you it raises your cholesterol a lot so it's something I would monitor especially as my myeloma ruined my kidneys which means my diet is poor anyway, the other side effect I have is muscle wastage on legs arms and chest so sometimes even the simplest of tasks makes me shake, so as much good as it does I've found it's changed me a lot , if could just have velcade on its own it would be a breeze lol, hope all is well with you take care xxx

Hi mothas thanks for reply hope your doing well, I also believe in knowing your enemy but after seven months of chemo watching your body and lifestyle completely change and feeling like you've never felt before sometimes it's nice to forget it for a while, it's not me denying it but not giving mm the satisfaction of thinking about it every day especially as its affected my kidneys ie what I eat and drink how much etc, have you started treatment yet and how are you finding it? Good luck on your journey
