Now what to say? well I was on CDT as a first response to My MM in Feb 2009, yep loads and loads of pills:-( as for the reaction I was very very tired during the CDT that I had to go on the sick:-/ I was on the sick for bang up 12 months before I went back on Light duties (May 2010) and during that time I had 5 courses of CDT followed by my Stem Cell Harvest and transplant.

Never got Zometa until after my Transplant? for some reason but that gave me flue like symptoms to start with.

Think thats all for the moment.

Hi Liz and Kev

Well I wonder why the Hickmen Line? I had a femerol line when I had my Harvest and SCT am told its less invasive and less likely to get an infection in it???

But when I have my Four Weekly Zometa it is like "Chase the tube" lol and yep Angie gets the "Hot Towel" for my hand but its not working all the time (but it feels great:-D )

And as for the "Crack" with the nurses mine mis great with the Receptionist/tea lady (thanks Tina) and all the Nurses we laugh till we cry ha ha. do I get fed up with all the "Attention" I get?? No not likely lol,

Elaine and I are doing great in this weather And I Love it::: dont know about anyone else but::: prior to me having MM I loved the cold weather (i know am strange) and hated the heat BUT since My SCT I feel the cold more (dont like it) and now Love the Summer months 😀 long may it continue 😎

Now those Pesky veins:-S they found one of mine first time 😀 last Thursday so was thinking its an in and out today:-D but my records were not at the day ward so I was sat with just having a fluid drip in me for nearly an hour:-( waiting for the go ahead on my record:-S , but all done in the end and had a good laugh with the Nurses and other Patients

Thank you for kicking off this difficult subject, but here is my thoughts::::

I am the one that has MM and am helped by My Wife, three sons, three daughter in laws and five (soon to be six:-D ) Granddchildren, and yes we "My Wife and I" talk about "end of life" and yes Elaine said she would look forward to the help and advice that could/should be given after the loss of a loved one and for those that post on here shouldn't feel as if they have to leave because of the loss of a Partner.

So for me I say yes we need another thread/link to help those who have lost their loved ones way too early.

Am sorry I cant help you with this one all I had was a SCT and nothing else talked about? but am still in remission some 21 months ago and am still doing great 😀
But am sure you will have some one nip on here and help in the answers you need.

Hi Shirl

Sorry to hear you are having problems with GVHD, I was given a card to tell Dr's that I could suffer GVHD but to be fair never thought (nor asked) what could happen re the GVHD thyat I carry a card for:-S (yep am a numpty)

You sound like you are doing Ok with it ?
