Hi Keith

I have strong gums and teeth 😀 but i was told during treatment to use a soft brush, and i always use mouth wash every time i go to the loo its hand wash and mouth wash, I dont floss that often and my dentist tells me to but :-S

if in doubt phone hospital 😀

My Run was straight foreward so Cant add nor help you at this time but am sure some one will be along that is on this treatment and give the advice you need.

What Hospital is your Mum getting treated as some on here might be able to help and advize.

Doing great Chris 😀 and Colin you will be the same soon My Friend, dont rush it as we all differ in the getting home Time mine was on day 16 and I have been beat and i have beat others so as you all see we differ in the Home run.

A warm welcome to you and your dad and sorry am late with the reply, and am sure it has been answered.
But Get that holiday in and dont wait till after or during treatment as I didn't know how I was going to feel the day after let alone four months away :-/ but the Uk is fine as you wont need Insurance as such?

As for Driving I wasn't told i could not and drove most of the time. am sure your dad (sorry dont know his name?) is sensable enough to take care and not drive if he feels unwell.

Sorry to hear its a Hospital stay for Michael but am pleased that when he is home a plan will be put in place for Michael and yourself.

Hi Vicki and Colin

Your doing Good Colin thats the way it rolls My Friend stick with it and slowley it will get better but it will be slow for you and Vicki.

Vicki am sure Elaine (my young bride) walked out of and into my room many a time during treatment with that heavy heart al ask ang on ??

Am Back yes she said she felt and did the same, heavy heart and hopeing that tomorrow will be better for both of us ?? it wasn't better the following day but it DID get better 😀 and to be fair near three years down the line I want to shout out to all that yes it is rough for us all but it is well worth it 😎 and if needed i would do it again 😉

Dont forget I was OK when I went in for my SCT and they Made me real Ill :-/ then they eventually made me better 😎 and for all those that are or will go through it TRUST me its well worth it, stay strong and dont forget the fight will still be needed when you get home.

Colin is doing well getting the sickness under control but I think on reflection I didn't get the anti sick tabs as often as i should have :-/ good to see Colin eating a bit now.

Well I dint want to wish it upon you M8 BUT I dont know anyone who has got away with it Ha ha.

as for the release date I went in on the 1st December 09 and was thrown out on the 16th 😎 day was was a waste nowt much done just line in chemo on 2nd day and three bags of Cells in on day three 😀 , cant remember when i messed the bed but am sure the Nurse will as she could not stop laughing at the look on my face Lol.

Dont put those running shoes away for some time yet Chris as am sure your running will get better Lol

Hey Gill

I am same as the others here.

I have read no where anywhere that tells people to be back to normal after X many months/years and I assume everyone differs in the time before they feel ready to move forwards BUT not forget the loved one who has passed away.

I would hate it to happen to me if I lost my Young Bride and Fmaily and friends Ignored her Name were frightend to mention her Name in case it upset me.

Its no good looking at others Gill in how long as am sure we all differ in that.

Well I for one feel for you, what a decision, to stop what is making you better/then ill to nothing that you know will make you ill?? (if i got it correct??)

And what is the Consultants view on it all?? am sure he/she has some input to throw on the smouldering fire?.
I cant make that Call for you Keith but I wish you luck in your decision.

I never bothered about Food to be fair when i was in hospital and not too much passed my lips for a long time when i came home just plenty of water was good for me 🙂

Hey Peter dont expect it to change after your SCT in Jan I can still fall asleep at at at ?? well before the hat even starts to drop he he, and if you ask my young bride my ears have never been anygood at listening lol. and I aint on any drugs 😀

So still get tired
Still feel the cold (lot more than i used to)

But am still here and if i need that sleep they can wake me up at work Lol
