Well done David and your team, and yes you are correct it’s never too late and you more than most know that am sure, you have been dealt a bad deck so far but it was worth the wait hope you don’t do your back in doing a wee jig in celebration
Hi Jane
And well done on your length of remission, I had CDT on my first treatment in 2009 leading up to first SCT in December same year and got 4 years out of that, I am now on Velcade (subcutaneous ) every Monday with 10 wee Dex tabs lol. My feet know am getting this treatment I have had nine Velcade injections so that makes me having 90 wee iccle tabs, all this is all being well leading up to my second SCT as and when the dr tells me am in remission and am hoping for it to last at least as long as yours Jane.
And my thoughts are stick with it Jane until your docs says he has better for you.
Love and hugs

Hi Charlie
Doing great thanks, I am now on (today) my third cycle of the Velcade and the dex and to be fair it has been a bit strange to me ?? .
The first few weeks after taking my Dex (take that every Monday ) I lost my sleep pattern for four days then Friday hit the preverbal brick wall then normal for the week end to start all over again Monday But the last three weeks I slept like a log no lose of sleep at all but too much sleep I was having to have ?? .
But bloods all moving in the right direction so am happy, still getting up to go to work and getting out and about for a few pints.
How’s you doing these days Charlie ? Hope it’s all onwards and upwards
Tom as always onwards and upwards x
Hi Andrew
Well done and yes you should be pleased I had mine done in 2009 and at the start it was 100 but as the months moved on I got the all clear and spot on and am under the impression it’s near the norm, stick with it with a big grin and a skip in your step.
Good luck you are well on the road to remission

Hi Julie
Your more than welcome as am sure it’s difficult for you as well as you Mom and dad, as for looking back it can’t alter things I/we had made decision that wasn’t right but they were right at the time and that’s all that matters we just dust down and move on it’s not easy being a carer it takes its toll,I was a carer for my wife when she got ill in 2008 (she in now all clear and fit as a fiddle now) now Elaine is my carer but av been told by her sister that she has been since 1975 haha.
Give my love and a big cuddle (they always help) to your Mum and Dad.
Love to you all

Hi Julie
Sorry to read your mum has been through a lot, it’s a hard illness to find the one that will kick it into touch, I have had the CTD and SCT all in 2009 four years remission then it kicks back in again so am now on Velcade getting ready for my second SCT at the end of this year all being well,
Am sure they will find the one that will work on your mum so I have fingers crossed that it’s soon.
Love to you both
