    Hi Annie

From one just about to retire district nurse to another!! I have always loved my job and am so upset that on wednesday, i will no longer be a DN.I have tried to be there for my husband, an mm suffer, and everything and everyone else, with the changes in the NHS, i can no longer work as i would wish. I started my training in '71 we were both, Annie, trained so well, i am sure you agree!!

Good luck to you and family, keep positive:-D

    Hi Sharon

Sorry to hear your news, hope all goes well with your treatment. I am so shock that you had to quote NICE guidelines to get an MRI scan, it is a scandle, not many people including me know about this. Good to know that NICE has some positives it usually seem a total negative organisation!!!

(wish this site had spell check!)

    All the best

    Hi all

My husband gordon has mm fraid he is not a toy boy!! Big mistake. He was diagnosed 9 years ago and had a sct in 2002 which lasted 6 lovley years with gordon taking thalidnomide with few side effects, he then had a trial of revlamid, which kept him well for approx 2years ( b.. dex) then lapsed had 6 i think cycles of velcaid then sct in november 2010, big treatments at Kings C Hosp london, maintance with the most lovley best Dr in the whole wide world, in eastbourne.

He is now pretty well, and on no meds except for acliovar. He is so lucky, he has walked his daughter down the aisle seen a son married and seen two beautiful grandchildren. Reading the other posts on this site I realise that gordon seems to not have so many of the other problems mm can cause, but he does have cronic bach pain.

baton past on, sorry this is so long a post.

thank you for making my horrid day end with me laughing!! It does make me wonder how clever some of these people are.
I did jury service once on a case which should never have come to court, 7 youngsters having a punch up on a hot saturday night in Brighton, they were all on legal aid and each one had a barrister, on the friday afternoon the judge and 6 barristers all took it turn to have a nap!! The lady barrister stayed awake, i am not being sexist but i think women had a tough time or did then, in the law courts. I lost all fear of the law after that, the law is an daft!!:-D

    best wishes

    Hi Bridget an Gaye

I love the danish Wallender i did enjoy K Branagh's version as well, but i can understand what you are saying gaye, and losing the will to live!! one reason i like the danish version apart from the great acting and story lines is that i have the telly to myself the rest of the family are to lazy to read the sub-titles!!

    love sarah xx

    Hya

ai have also never heard of a myeloma diary, sounds good for us with increasing forgetful disease.

Good luck min with your redunancy, hope the itching stops soon. Before Gordon had his last sct my teeth went black and the whole inside of my mouth was very sore and i had some difficulty in eating good way to loose weight.

    all the best sarah
