Hi Min
Gordon and I would often end up at loggerheads, this mean mean disease. I too would walk out, i think it helped, try talking to the macs, it sounds as though you have a good rapport with them, someone needs to listen to you both, poor Peter, just wants his normal life back.

Hi Min
There is no way Peter should be going back and forward to hospiyal the district nurses should be able to do daily bloods, as Dai says things always go wrong on a friday afternoon, I know this as a DN and a carer, so shout loud. I hate to say this but macmillian nurses seem to work 9-5pm monday to friday, hopefully you have accsess to the hospital ward.
My very best wishes to you both

Hi Dai
I am gobsmacked by your treatment!! we all pay for treatment through our taxes the medics are all paid by us the arrogance of some medics drive me mad. We had one in king,s he thought nothing of letting a door smack into me he was far to much up his bottom to see a lowley terrified wife whose husband was having a bone marrow transplant!!
Good luck tomorrow Dai i am still trying to work out how august 10 is an emergency appointment for a potentally fatal clot!! At leasst you are blood thinning drugs.
sarah
Hi eve
I love Joe,s sword of damacles! Think i will take that with me when i go to the hospital today!!
I am always pesamistic it makes the weenist scrap of good news mega fantastic. Gordons hb went from 7 to 7.5 and his neut from .5 to .7 after blood platlets gcsf etc i was thrilled, the results are trully pathetic after all that treatment!! But I quess they are going the right way i will be very apprehensive again today it is the only way i can cope.
Min your kitchen sounds wonderful, i think we stopped working about the same time, i often think how did i ever have time to work:-)
love to you all

Hi Dai
Poor you i agree with eve and min i wam a ex district nurse and the d dimmer test takes a few mins it is not conclusive and if poss you will a scan to confirm all very easy to have Can you phone you gp surgery today they should be able to do a d dimmer. It really is scarry reading other posts at the total incompidence of some, not all, thank god nhs staff!! Is it just me, but some newly qualified drs think they know everything and they know nothing and will not listen to patients, gordon and i met one in Kings last winter he was so far up his bottom i bet he could not see daylight!! Good luck Dai get that leg tested ASAP
Sarah:-D
