    Hi David

I've just noticed your news. My goodness, if it's not one thing, eh? I play golf with a couple of chaps who have had prostate cancer for ages. I believe ultrasound is supposed to be the latest great treatment or are you too far gone for that too?

    Good luck.

I've only just logged on after a few days absence and am sorry to read about this latest developement, David!

What a good thing you discovered a forum where you can get some good advice about the new cancer. Though sometimes the interweb gives us too much incorrect or outdated info, it is a blessing when it allows us to contact others with similar problems.

Sending you my best wishes for a successful treatment.

    Love

David, I am so saddened to read your news. You have been doing so fantastically well with your SCT remission, with your daily walks, holidays and visiting and home chores I have been cheering you on while being more than a little envious… and now this.

I really hope that the treatment, be it primary, secondary or surgery catches hold of it and brings it under control. You don't deserve this, nobody does of course but on top of Myeloma is a bit rich. Nearly all secondary cancers are blood related but this is something rare and unrelated.

All my best wishes, please keep in touch with developments where and when you can.

    Vasbyte indeed.

    Dai.

    Hi David
Only diagnosed with MM this June, but have had my PSA monitored for many years with two or three biopsies
Prostate Cancer is our family Achilles heel
My PSA varies up& down all the time ,never more than 10 , but since I have been on the CDTregime it's gone slowly up without any dipping down,, just finishing my third cycle , the reading went upfrom11 to 18 in three weeks, compared to some I believe this is still a low reading , but they like the readings going up & down
My Doc thinks the MM drugs could be having a effect on the prostate , did you get any info on this
Seeing my ecologist on Mon for advice etc
    Kind regards
    Peter

Hi all, Thanks for all the support Guys and Gals, I will say it again "you are a bunch of diamonds".

Peter, I was told that they are two separate trains going down adjacent tracks and as such treatment should not overlap. The question of course is which one will hit the buffers first Having said that they are apparently just starting to use bisposphates to treat Prostate Cancer. Nuclear Body Scan next Tuesday.

I loved the letter from the Consultant to my Doctor. "He has High Grade prostate cancer" Nothing cheap or tatty for me then

Must dash I am off to Newquay for a boozy weekend with my skittle team leaving at 9:00 a.m. this morning. (Well, it wont be that boozy we are all over 65 now!, how does the song go Dai ~ "Those were the days my friend………………………..)

    Kindest regards – vasbyte
