Hi Guys and Gals. Well I knew the consultant was not going to tell me I had had a magical cure but not a bad appointment all in all. I was expecting my Paraprotiens to go up but my secret Santa wish was that they would stay below 8 and I would also have a drug free Christmas, New Year and of course my 70th birthday on the 2 Jan 2013.

Guess what Santa granted my wish. I really am pleased I wore that "I believe in Santa" hat all week now. At my last appointment the critical measurements were HG 13.3; WB 5.71; Plats 212; and PPs 3.5. My latest figures are HG 31.1; WB 7.9; Plats 300 and PPs 6.7

When you look at them you can see the Myeloma is returning and my appointment time has now been reduced from 3 months to 2 months, however, Christmas is just around the corner and I will be concentrating on that only for the next week or so. My next appointment is 22 Feb. But, just as precaution you understand, I will finalise my work on my coffin, which is looking great by the way 😀 😀

Awwww David, drug free Christmas and birthday sounds good, it's funny, I don't know what drug free is like! I have no idea if I'd be better off the Revlimid than I am on it, but I'm not planning on stopping to see, if that makes sense 🙂

David, if you think that you need to get the old coffin ready with figures like that try looking at mine.
Hb 8.9 WBC 2.9 Neuts 2.1 Plts18 with figures like those I should be hearing the soil hitting the lid already lol.
Ha-way man you are doing great and don't worry about the PP's as they fluctuate up and down anyway. And as for going from 3 month to 2 month visits I'm in there at least once if not more times EVERY week. I could only dream of counts like yours so like you advise me to do Just keep fighting,you're doing greeeeaaaaaaaat!!!

Thats good nrws David, not that your hospital dates are now getting closer but drug free over Xmas will be Good.

I know you dont need to rush to finish the Coffin but it will be good to see an updated Photo even if its just for that great Backdrop on the last ones 😀

I was just joking about the coffin:-D . It is in bits at the moment in my workshop. I have finished a mock up of one side with the rope handles and pictures but it is not stained at the moment. I have to finish all the sides before can I re-assemble, I will attach a photo for you Tom sometime today so you can see where I am going with it…

You know you lot are like having your own personal Ra Ra troupe. I half expect you all too come dancing out of the screen. I can just picture Tom in a Blue sequinned Tutu with red pom poms. Ye Gods :-0 I am going to have to watch this Hormone Therapy treatment if that is the state of my mind.

Pictures attached: I assembled this to check design and you can see at the moment one of the handles comes out of my daughters head so a picture with a different layout is being produced. The pictures have been done by my son. One shows me off Bermuda in 1973 and the other is my Daughter as a 3 year old in Tiger Balm Gardens Singapore.

Hi David.
Good news your going to be drug free over Christmas and for your birthday. I seem to get another new drug every time I see my consultant my latest addition is an antiviral.

Glad there was good news. Happy Christmas and Happy Birthday!! Thosw PP numbers are still very low. Some folk get upto 40/50 b43fore treatment. My Consultant said it depends how quickly figures are raising and whether there are any other health complications.
