Good evening all. Hmmm maybe good morning would be more appropriate.

I started my 31st cycle today after my monthly consult with my specialist nurse and picked up my drugs too. Unfortunately my PPs have continued their upward trend increasing another three to seventeen. So I think some serious head scratching and decision making will soon be on the agenda. Fortunately my other bloods are good at the moment so there is some breathing room.

I did suggest adding Cyclophosphamide to my Pom/Dex mix though that will be for my consultant to decide. Anyway I maybe getting ahead of myself because my PPs may stick around seventeen. That could happen couldn’t it?

Anyway in the mean time we’re off to Kefalonia on Sunday.

    Every day is a gift.

    Hi Andy
Just got back from Kefalonia on Sunday went to the 9Muses Hotel Skala (Recommend it a lovely hotel). Had a lovely holiday with perfect temperatures and lots of sun. The Spring flowers on Kefalonia were amazing and so pretty. We have been 6 times now and I keep saying can we move there but my wife won’t leave our 2 boys and family’s.

Hope the PP’s stay low. I am 2 1/2 years post SCT and still in remission but seeing my consultant 8th June for a 6th month report. So hopefully he will have good news.

    Best Regards David

    Hi Andy

Hopefully you are having a fab. time. Maybe all the sunshine will scare those pps into submission.

Keep us posted on what they decide, it’s good to know what cunning plans the docs can come up with.

    Hi Andy

Hope you have a great, relaxing time. The sunshine will certainly boost your vitamin D levels. Hopefully your current treatment will still be able to contain your myeloma levels.

    Hi all.

Thanks for all your good wishes.

I’m actually soaking up the vitamin D as I write this beside the pool in sunny Kefalonia. It’s lovely and warm but not too hot. A beer or two also help keep the temperature just right.

Thanks for that compliment Annlynn. It’s very humbling to know I can inspire someone but also very satisfying that I’m able to help in any small way.

Ok it’s time for a beer – Yamas.

    Every day is a gift.

Hi Andy, I didn’t know you got vitamin D in beer, perhaps Euro beer is different from bitter!
Enjoy it mate, I’m not envious at all!

    Hi all.

Had a wonderful time in Kefalonia the weather was very kind though the wind did get up for a couple of days. Now recharging my batteries for our next trip. We’re of to Belgium in a few weeks for a long weekend so I’ll probably have a few Belgian beers Tony whilst we’re there.

    Every day is a gift.

    Hi Andy

I’m hardly on site these days but wanted to say that I hope your holidays have built you up. No reason why your protein level shouldn’t stabilise. After all this is an unpredictable disease. I do hope so.

Enjoy every day and the summer here, while it lasts!

    Love

    Hi Mavis.

It’s great to hear from you. I hope everything is as well as it can be with you. I’m not on here very often myself now either.

My PPs are determined to keep slowly rising so I guess another trip to Greece is in order whilst I still can.

    Every day is a gift.
