My husband has just had his first round of DT Pace treatment after myeloma returned 14 months after SCT. He has had three other treatments since September which have not worked. I guess we’re running out of options now. The Myeloma has started to make lesions in the bones. Before it was just affecting his kidneys.
Has anyone else had this treatment? How did it go?
He had a tough time with this round of treatment, nearly three weeks in hospital and a fungal chest infection, plus an allergic reaction to a platelet transfusion.
The good news is that it is having an effect on his light chains and para protein levels.
He is due for review on Monday with a view to starting the next treatment on Tuesday. He’s being so calm. It must be so difficult to bear…
