Hi Everyone
Returned successfully from another trip to Greece. We had a great time eating and drinking too much. Didn’t do much other than sit in the sun and reading. Oh ok drank too much and ate much too. No health issues to report only the smallest of hangovers.
The plane had computer problems on the way home. One of its computers wouldn’t reset so the plane had to be turned off for ten minutes to reset everything so we were sat in darkness whilst this happened. Got to add this was before we took off lol. Anyway it did the trick and we arrived home only a little late and got to bed around 1:30 Monday morning.
Got up bright and early and went to the day unit for my next cycle(10) of drugs and blood tests. I bet my blood tests will be slightly different from my norm.
Every day is a gift.

Always a bugger, I find, when blood tests follow a good week of drinking fine wine 🙁 ah well, such is life!
Haha, doing the same as you Andy. On a balcony overlooking the sea in kefalonia, another week of too much wine and good food, oh and sunshine. Then I’m back for a blood test! and probably a ticking off from the specialist.
Good luck

Hi Tony.
Funnily enough we were in Kefalonia too. Love the island we go there twice a year if my health permits. Where about on the island are you staying? We stay right near the airport at Svoronata.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday Tony.

Fiscardo, then on Saturday over to Ithaka for a week. Then it’s the blood test!
I read that you do the Lakes as well, we go up to Keswick a lot, having lived and worked there for 10 years or so.
Sorry to hijack the forum.
But heck you’ve got to live life, maybe sometimes with your fingers crossed.
Regards
Tony F
You two guys are getting up my nose!
I am sitting here, in my hospital bed, having just had my Kidney’s drained and ” stents” put in too keep my pee ways open and you two are off enjoying yourselves – HAVE YOU NO HEART. Wasn’t just one day lousy with bad food, warm larger and ice sheets blowing in from the north. :-))))
Well done kindest regards – vasbyte

p.s. still in MM full remission. Skin cancer very mild. BUT, Prostate is a real sod at moment.
Hi David.
Sorry your in hospital having your water works seen to. I hope it does the trick for you.
Good news that your still in full remission and that your skin cancer is very mild? Didn’t know you could have mild skin cancer just shows your never too old to learn. Now if only they could get your prostate sorted.
Hi Tony.
Fiscardo is a lovely place. We haven’t been to Ithaca but heard it’s nice there too. Talking about the lakes we’re going there early next month hmmm it’ll be a fortnight Tuesday we go. Then later in the month we are popping back to Greece, Athens this time, for a wedding. We’ve been invited by the family who own the place we stay in Kefalonia.
oh David we had a thunder storm one night whilst in Greece got stuck in the bar/restaurant till it blew over 😉

Sorry David, I knew we shouldn’t have hijacked the forum to talk about holidays.
Glad the the mm is still in remission and that the skin cancer is not bad, hope they sort out the prostate ASAP
Andy
There’s a new pub opening in Keswick, in the Old Court House, sounds good!

What a lovely place to get stuck.
I do not want to “count chickens” etc.. but it looks like my op yesterday was a success. Both kidneys are now draining well and the blood is starting to clear from both, which the Nurse tells me is a good sign this early after the op.
What makes a forum good, in my mind, is light harted banter that lifts the spirit. You keep on posting I very much enjoy reading about your travels. A photo’ would be great too!
kindest regards – Vasbyte
David
That’s good news David. As Tom would say “onwards and upwards” which funnily enough is what we were saying whilst stuck on the Tarmac at Kefalonia’s airport. 😉
Every new pub sounds good to me Tony.
Going try and add a couple of photos one is us enjoying a drink whilst a storm rages outside hmm or was it just after the storm? I think it was the later.
Every day is a gift.
Andy
Oh ok that’s 3 not a couple! but it seems to of worked 😉
Dear Andy
Looks like it was a very good holiday ….. and thanks for the insurance advice- having been turned down by World First! After 4 years of good cover… I went to ‘Now I cann travel’ and got cover including the myeloma, with 3rd relapsing disease, for £97 so am off at the end of the month.
And David , you seem to be doing well following your awful year of ‘other’ cancers, I’m hoping you are going to get some time off to recouperate in your garden.
Love Helen
The garden has taken a hit this year Helen. I have reduced the borders and lawned most of it in. We just have three medium size planting ares two of which I have filled with perennials (I love penstemmons). My lovely hedge has gone, replaced by a very smart solid wood and lattice work fence. To be honest I am preparing things for Mo.
That Insurance quote sounds great, if I can get out of these woods I am in at present I might look them up and try to surprise MO with a holiday, who knows!

Great Pics well done Andy, I could almost feel myself there.
Hi Helen.
Good to hear from you. I hope everything is as well as it can be.
We had a great time doing nothing much. We got invited to a Greek Orthodox wedding in October by the family who run the hotel where we stay. So will be searching around for flights to Athens this weekend.
Really glad you were able to get insured at a reasonable price by nowicantravel we’ve used them the last 4 times after World First let us down.
If memory serves me right your going to Italy. Have a great time and let us know how it went with a couple if photos.
Every day is a gift.
Andy xx
