Hi everyone, there's an article on page 17 in the Sunday Telegraph regarding a new vaccine which has been trialled in Jerusalem, and been given to 10 Myeloma patients,7 of which are said to have a greater immunity against Myeloma cancer cells compared with before they had the vaccine and the other 3 completely free of the cancer.
The vaccine is called ImMucin and was developed by the drug company Vaxil Biotherapeutics.
The downside is it could be 6yrs before it gets to us but nonetheless it's a very encouraging development.
I know I for one would risk dodging the Scud missiles and go to Israel to get this treatment after all it could be a life saver.
Hi Keith thankyou that does sound very promising, hope it gets the green light even if it takes 6 years. As you say if it came to it whats a flight to Israel compared to a good result. I knew I should buy a Proper Newspaper on Sundays then I wouldnt miss gems like that But those Sunday Trashies are hard to resist !!!! Take care and hope you are feeling well love Bridget x
Hi Kieth
lets hope its not 6 years and they accelerate the trail so many new things
coming on stream much more hope theses days I hope you are still well after your SCT
regards jO X
