It started just before xmas with shortness of breath, nausea and aching bones. He decided to go to the GP and over the next three months was sent for a blood test and chest x ray, camera down throat, CT scan of abdomen, another blood test and just last week, a bone scan. He would have had a full body scan last Thursday, but that was the day he died.
It does make you wonder why nothing had been found with all those tests. We're still waiting for the coroner to release the body. I wish they would hurry up as the longer it takes, the harder it is for his kids. If they can actively get on with arrangements, I'm sure they will be able to come to terms with it a lot better, as will the rest of the family.
Thankyou for all your kind words.

I am so sorry for your loss, and understand your anger. I was similarly angry when my husband who had been under a renal consultant, with kidney failure hypercalceimia, crushed vertebra and mega protein in his urine was not diagnosed with MM for over 4months.
She told him to stop drinking milk to prevent hypercalceimia!!!!!! and said if he rested his crushed vertebra would mend. I know all about anger with the medical profession but have to finally admit that this is such a rare cancer its difficult to diagnose even for professionals.
I hope the coroner will act promptly, and allow you and his family to start the grieving process.
    My thought are with you.
