Hi. My husband has recently been diagnosed with Myeloma. He is in hospital now just starting his chemo (he needed to be monitored as the drug they are giving him can cause fibrilation (so far no problems). My husband had told me that the consultant had told him that his abdomen scan had showed that his kidney and liver was fine. I have now found out that the consultant actually told him that there were ‘traces’ in his liver (he described it as sludge) and that he must go to the Royal Free in London for a liver biopsy. Has anyone ever had this told to them? If it is in his liver – what does this mean for his prognosis/success of the treatment? I am beside myself as every thing I hear seems different to the last thing I heard. Please help.
