Mike has been really stuff ongoing since Friday, he has extreme back pain which is going down his legs. He is on his 4th round of veldecade . He had been quite well up to know. Te chemo nurse is coming this afternoon f to give him injection and I'm going to get a doctors appointment to get better painkillers.

I was wondering if the heat was not help with the pain. Anyone else having different difficulties in the heat

Hi Jean, I am on my 4th cycle of Velcade. I take two Paracetamol with 40 mg Zomorph twice a day. The Consultant said that after cycle three, if all was ok, they would reduce my pain killers this week.

I have not had any affects from the heat apart from some very pleasant walks 😀 😀

    Kindest regards – vasbyte

They have given mike a moraine based pain killer and some oral morphine as well. I spoke to his chemo nurse and the may get mike in for some X-rays of his back to see if anything is going . So all is ok I suppose. Go doctor thought that he didn't have spinal compression.

    Hope he sleep tonight

    Hi Jean

Get an mri scan for Mike's back. My husband had spinal compression which wasn't picked up until he had an mri scan and because of the delay is partially paralysed.

    Hi Jean

Maureen's right – get Mike an MRI scan. Frank has very bad back pain (apparently from an old injury) and when he mentions it to the consultant, the first thing she asks is if the pain is going into his legs. Even though its not, she has given him quite a few MRI to ensure no damage. Do follow it up

    Best wishes

    Hi Jean

Agree with the others press for an MRI scan. I'm surprised they didn't offer it. I had spinal cord compression because of a plasmacytoma and was very lucky to regain my mobility. They have now given me a card to carry so that if I have symptoms like Mike's they will be taken seriously.

    Good luck.
