    Hi Onlyme,
I'm so sorry you're going through this. I know that the love and support you're showing your mother will help her. Sometimes words fail us and there is only our presence and what it signifies.

    Hi Angie,

I am so glad that your Mum was able to request the start of palliative care… It means she was fully aware of her situation and despite her discomfort and fears she was able to dictate her next step… a very brave and very independent woman.

I hope she moves on with peace and full knowledge of the love surrounding her. I am absolutely sure it will be painless… for her if not for you and the rest of your family.

My thoughts and the thoughts of many here will be with you over the next few days and beyond.

    Regards:-D

    Hello only me,

I have read your post and I am so sad for you, your mum and your family. I love my mum dearly and can only imagine what you are going through. There are no words of comfort that can ease this, but hopefully your mum can slip away quietly into a place of no pain or discomfort. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time.

Hi ….. I didn't realize what a long process this is.

We are still with Mum, as she is sleeping, she is no longer responsive and is still lying peacefully, they are managing her pain as and when she seems to need it.

The Macmillan unit is a wonderful place and 7 days after Mum arriving here, the care is amazing for Mum and for us..

I will post again but for now I feel your thoughts and prayers and once again thank you

    Xx

    Dear Angie,

I am so sorry that so much was laid on your Mum, giving little to no chance of fighting her disease once the complication of such an aggressive secondary disease as the Plasma Cell Leukaemia joined forces with her existing Multiple Myeloma. As I said earlier I am glad that that your Mum was able to request the start of palliative care… It meant she was fully aware of her situation and despite her discomfort and fears she was able to dictate her next steps.:-)

I am also so sorry that you and yours were not able to spend more time with your Mum as the end came so very quickly. Take a few days but please try and get back to us with any queries or advices regarding what happens next and about how you are coping.:-|

    Regards

    Dai.
