Great news Tom. No treatment is still classed as treatment, so your post must belong here!

That's the sort of hospital visit I like too. I'm hoping to follow in your footsteps.
16 months on from my SCT, I'm totally drug-free and when I saw my specialist in April, because my bloods and health were so good, he suggested a telephone appointment instead of seeing him next time. (But obviously I can still contact him anytime). I readily agreed to that and gave me a lot of confidence as you can imagine.

I hope reading this post will give newly diagnosed people encouragement and that they'll realise that living with MM definitely isn't all gloomy.
    🙂

It is good to have good news stories on here as well as ones sharing difficulties. I think it must really encourage newly diagnosed members so please do keep coming on!

May your remission continue for ever!

    Hi Tom and Michele.
Can I join in with the good news?
My last hospital appointment was on Thursday last. I had my SCT early February, had decided at the previous appointment not to go on any maintenance regimes, so have been drug free, except for some antibiotics since February.
Had a sleepless night before Thursday ( that's normal for me before any appointment ) so the good news my pp is down to 1.8, doctor tells me it probably won't go much lower, now go and have your 'baby injections' and get on with your life, come back and see me in 2 months………..no more drugs, no more treatment, just a monthly penidronate infusion! Wow, is there life outside? have to go and find out!
    Hope it continues.
Like Michele, I hope that this encourages everyone.
Thank you everyone for being there and good luck to you all.
    Regards

That's really good to know, especially for those of us so far behind with a lot to still go through. Just enjoy it now, after all, you've earned it.

Great news! It's fantastic to hear that Tom.
I'm celebrating the fact that I've passed the 'year from diagnosis' milestone in the last week or so. Bit emotional leading up to it but now it feels nicely like a particular chapter is closed and the next one is beginning. Plus the sun has been shining which always helps 😀
