Hi, looking for advice on travel.insurance. Firstly, when taking out travel insurance have those with MM declared it as a Terminal Illness? The definition of Terminal Illness and how it relates to MM for insurance purposes does not seem to be straightforward.

Secondly, has anyone been able to secure an annual/multi trip travel insurance policy as most providers only seem to want to issue Single Trip cover.

    Many thanks.

I have MM and got travel insurance through Avanti. They ask detailed questions about your condition. My consultant says it is not “terminal” until the final stage, but is “incurable”. Avanti seem happy with this definition. I pay £26 a month for travel in Europe.

My husband has MM , I have recently taken out travel insurance and found Travelsafe.com I have used various different companies before , premiums change so its always worth trying a few. MM is not a terminal illness until, like many other illness’s, it does not apply until the final stage. I always take single trip insurance as MM is so changeable.

There is list of insurance companies on the travel info sheet on the Myeloma website. Yes annual cover is possible I’ve been doing this for several years.
