Hi, I’ve not been in here for several years as I tried to forget I had MGUS between blood tests. I was diagnosed with MGUS back in 2014 with a paraprotein of 8. I’ve been monitored regularly and it’s fluctuated around 6/7/8 until the last one which has jumped to 10. Consultant was slightly concerned and has moved me back to 6/12 bloods as opposed to 9/12 which I’d gone to. Since my diagnosis, I’ve had extremely frequent UTI’s and more recently, they’ve become very antibiotic resistant, needing several courses to get under control with only a few days respite before another equally resistant bout strikes. It’s getting me down and to find my paraprotein has risen has made me wonder if there’s a link? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks x
