Well, so far so good.
I have had 4 infusions (last one today) which, together with the next week off, makes up the 1st cycle of however many it takes to get the job done.
My consultant has said that they will get me down to CR (Complete Remission ish) and then give me 2 more cycles to make sure/top up. IF the Velcade does work then I am hoping to be down and clear by the end of cycle 3 – giving me 5 cycles in total. IF the new sternum tumour was MM related then the signs are good because it has, to all intents and purposes, disappeared back from whence it came… then the above scenario should be a realistic target… but we all know how capricious our little enemies can be – so I am setting my sights on being clear after 2 cycles. 😎 >:-)
Well, why not. Then at least 12 months clear before I stare Revlimid down and make it a long term buddy.
Life is so easy on paper. 😉
