Yesterday was unbelievable for sports. What a great day. West Ham got back to the Premier division when it did not look likely. Then the highlight of the day with Chelsea beating Bayern Munich at their home ground. It looked like it was all over when they scored, until Drogba got a last minute goal to level the score. Then it looked like it was all over when he gave away a penalty. Then it looked like it was all over when it went to penalties. But as we all know, it's not over till the fat lady sings and she stayed quiet last night. What will now happen to the interim manager and what will happen to Drogba?

Hope some of you got to see the match too.

    Keep well

    Hi Scott,

I followed the whole day with interest… even though none of my teams were involved this year.

It was a great match with Chelsea, and Drogba in particular, providing a Man City type comic book ending… unbelievable.

A truly remarkable year for football in the UK, full of incidents, comebacks and fantastic melt-downs and topped up with some super-human performances from individuals.

As a Notts Forest and Swansea fan I had my moments and eventual satisfaction… especially from Swansea.

I am now looking forward to the Euros and the Olympics with eager anticipation… and MM can go hang for a while.:-) 😀 😉

    Dai.

    ps.

I still wouldn't give the Chelsea job to Matteo… he has done extraordinarily well but with a squad on a swan song… Chelsea need someone with the vision to rebuild a new team for a new era… and I am not convinced that Roberto Matteo is the man for that job.

You are absolutely right Dai. The Euros, Olympics and days like yesterday take your mind off MM for a while which is a great thing.

Whoever is appointed manager at Chelsea has a tough year to follow especially as the team will have to be rebuilt soon, as you mentioned.

    All the best

    Scott

    Hi Dai and Scott
Haven't a clue what you two are talking about but isn't it great to talk about everyday life and not mention the dreaded (MM)
It's a great weekend here sun shining a bit too hot for me plus 28 maybe plant a few veg and flowers and ask someone what you guys are talking about. Used to shop in the Kings Road Chelsea but I don't think you are on about shopping!

    Hey Scott

Agree it was a good day. But you missed one event – rugby. Broken hearted that Ulster didn't win but there again they were terrible. Dont think they could have played netball!! Frank fell asleep towards the end of the Chelsea match and would not believe me when I told him that Chelsea had won. United loosing!!! We have a split family. Two sons heart broken and two delighted.
    Best wishes Jean
